$450 Million “Green Bond” Issued By Owens Corning®

The issuance of the green bond is in line with Owen Corning’s commitment to run a sustainable enterprise that benefits not just the shareholders, but also the environment. The $450-million green bond is payable for 10 years and has a coupon rate of 3.95%. The company pledged to spend most of it on sustainability projects that will further work in areas centered on answering environmental challenges. Eligible projects include long-term purchase power agreements for renewable energy, investments to increase energy efficiency and investments in waste reduction, recycling and other eco-efficient programs.
